Globally Davis Langdon has made the decision to implement procedures which will lead to certification under both ISO 14001:2004 (Environmental Management) and OHSAS 18001:2007 (Occupational Health and Safety Management) international standards.  We support the ethos of an operationally safe office environment and remain committed to ensuring a healthy and safe environment for our staff and colleagues.

We are a silver founding member of the Green Building Council in South Africa (GBCSA) and we annually produce the Davis Langdon Quick Guide to emerging green design attributes. The Quick Guide outlines the attributes and initiatives that are considered when measuring how environmentally-friendly and sustainable a project or building is.

The GBCSA defines a “green building” as a building which is energy efficient, resource efficient and environmentally responsible - which incorporates design, construction and operational practices that significantly reduce or eliminate its negative impact on the environment and its occupants.”
