Real opportunities for innovative, efficient and sustainable organisations exist by thinking beyond AMP 5 and playing a part in delivering a sustainable water strategy now..

AMP5 presents the most diverse range of projects of all of the previous AMP periods since privatisation. It will deliver nearly all of the statutory proposals to increase drinking water quality, and it will deliver 99% of the agreed National Environmental Programme.

At £22bn, AMP 5 will be the biggest AMP spend to date.

Climate Change features in the Water Company Business Plans, with plans to generate 965 GWh/year from low carbon and renewable technologies. The use of new technologies and feed in tariffs could lead to a revenue stream for water companies, particularly if the opportunities presented by feed-in tariffs are used.

Our Water team will provide a joined up solution with our power transmission and low carbon generation sub-sector colleagues to maximise the opportunities that AMP5 presents.
