Services Engaged Cost Management

Davis Langdon provided cost management services for Phase 2 and Phase 3 of the new Port of Entry project for Champlain, New York. Phase 2 includes a large cargo building and a number of inspection booths with related canopies, while Phase 3 adds a number of other buildings, including an administration building, an export building, a hazmat building, and a building for veterinary services. The project also includes extensive site work for access roads, truck parking, and so on.

Security issues were a main concern during the design of this project, as these facilities provide a major port of entry into the country. Extreme weather conditions were another challenge, as all facilities must be built to withstand extremely cold conditions.
